Important information

Information Only — Not Medical Advice

This article is for general product information only and is not medical advice. Always check the product page and label before use. CBD and vape products are intended for adults aged 18+. Lab reports are shown where supplied by the brand.

Check the label

Product pages and labels include the latest format, strength, ingredient and usage information from the brand.

Review reports where supplied

Where a brand supplies a lab report, we display it so customers can review additional product information.

Adults only

CBD and vape products are intended for adults aged 18+. Check the product page, current label and any supporting lab report supplied by the brand for product-specific cannabinoid information.

CBD supplements is an umbrella term covering several ingestible formats, including oils, capsules, tablets and some edible products. This guide explains the category as a whole; the format-specific guides go deeper once you know which route you want.

Common Supplement Formats

CBD Oils & Tinctures use a dropper format. Read the CBD Oil UK Guide for bottle size, concentration, carrier oil and extract-type comparison.

CBD Capsules & Tablets are pre-measured. Read the CBD Capsules UK Guide for per-capsule strength, pack count and ingredient checks.

Gummies, sweets and drinks are food-led formats with their own ingredient and serving considerations. Use CBD Edibles & Drinks if that is the route you are comparing.

What To Compare

  • CBD per serving where supplied;
  • total CBD;
  • product size or count;
  • ingredients and allergens;
  • CBD type;
  • product-specific THC information;
  • label directions;
  • lab reports where supplied by the brand.

Current UK CBD Intake Guidance

The Food Standards Agency and Food Standards Scotland advise healthy adults to limit total CBD consumption from food to 10mg per day. Current precautionary guidance says CBD foods are not recommended for under-18s, people who are pregnant or breastfeeding, people trying to conceive, people taking medication and people who are immunosuppressed, unless appropriately directed by a medical professional.

Current UK Regulatory Position for CBD Foods

CBD extracts used in foods and food supplements are novel foods, but the position differs across the UK. In England and Wales, the FSA's CBD products list is a transitional enforcement list for eligible products linked to progressing applications; inclusion is not novel-food authorisation or an FSA endorsement. Scotland is regulated separately by Food Standards Scotland, which states that no CBD food products have yet been authorised as novel foods in Scotland. In Northern Ireland, the FSA states that CBD food products are currently unauthorised novel foods.

Controlled-cannabinoid requirements are separate from novel-food status, so a “less than 0.2% THC” statement should not be treated as a universal legality test for a finished supplement.

Do Not Choose By Headline Strength Alone

A larger total CBD figure can reflect a larger bottle or pack. Compare like with like and use the CBD Strength & Serving Guide for label arithmetic rather than personalised dosing advice.

Choose the Right Guide for the Format

Final Thoughts

Use this page as the broad CBD supplements overview, then move into the guide for the exact format you want to compare. Format, ingredients, serving information and label clarity are more useful than treatment-style claims.
